Sales Manager - UK
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
1. Drive sales for our product business and help achieve targeted revenues. The successful candidate will assist in architecting and implementing strategies for business development. Will have end-to-end responsibility inclusive of client/ sector identification, strategy and account management for Region accounts. Will need to strategize growth plans and business development strategy for different customer segments
2. Is required to identify, develop, and qualify sales opportunities in the UK region which translates to managing sales with the sole focus of maximizing revenues in a timely, reliable, and consistent basis, accurately forecasting annual and quarterly revenue streams and actively managing all aspects of the sales cycle
3. Qualify and drive significant deals in the UK which for us is a highly challenging and competitive market. Would be responsible for new business development involving prospect development, understanding business and technology scenario and needs, identifying opportunities, solution offerings and business case to the client, involvement in preparation of proposals and final negotiation and closure.
4. Prospect and drive campaigns at the CIO, and CEO level in the UK markets
5. Maintain primary account responsibility through the entire sales cycle, including guiding the sales team through the initial project and implementation, and performing on-going high level account management responsibilities to ensure customer satisfaction and referenceability
PROFILE AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
1. The ideal candidate would hold a Graduate Degree in Engineering with an MBA who has strong Product/IT sales experience. He/she should have been a high performing Sales professional at mid management levels recently
2. Expect the candidate to have strong knowledge and experience of Retail, Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence business and among others should have sold ERP solutions like SAP IS-Retail and or JDA or Retek and such like retail ERP’s into the UK
3. Have experience in developing new business through a combination of prospecting, marketing supported lead generation, direct selling efforts, and channel partners
4. Have experience in taking strong ownership as the role would require managing the UK region as one's own business
5. Must have consistently demonstrated the ability to exceed sales targets, manage complex sell cycles and develop new business relationships and opportunities
6. Passion for competition. Proven track record in building businesses. Must possess the foresight to work against set targets and meet them
7. Should be familiar with the UK market as this role will require extensive travel into the UK
