Job Purpose
- Reporting to Sales Director, the short cycle & service business will be responsible for driving the short cycle/MRO/Service bookings and sales for product line’s of Regional Product Portfolio encompassing product positioning, brand management, new services development, pricing strategy and profit maximization.
Essential Job Functions
- Develop and maximize MRO opportunities by identifying installed bases in various geographies
- Develop, implement and drive Go To Market plans, where applicable, in cooperation with colleagues
- Act as liaison between Factories, Service facilities & Sales avoiding internal competition and margin erosion
- Take the lead in showing and teaching local sales teams the MRO/service & short cycle opportunities.
- Develop and implement pricing strategies to maximize profitability for the service business.
- Ensure the specific product portfolio remains competitive by continuously gathering local market intelligence regarding competition, services and pricing and communicate this information back to the leadership team
- Develop Sales Channels and Channel Partner programs in cooperation with VP Sales and Regional/ Domestic Sales Leaders if it is helpful in growing short cycle / MRO sales in the region.
- Deploy sales tools including but not limited to CRM (for opportunities and account management) and quotation tools
- Drive CRM adoption rate and CRM data integrity within the region
- Publish sales team performance dashboard monthly and monitor sales efficiency and effectiveness
- Drive demand forecast and shipment forecast process discipline within the sales organization through improved funnel management
- Execute sales optimization and sales efficiency programs in order to improve win rate and efficiencies
- Run sales data analysis to better understand sales dynamics, portfolio, profitability
Qualifications
BE Mechanical
- Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, CRM, and Outlook
- Deep understanding of the Industrial short cycle business, Service concept and industry/market/sales channel preferably in valves, controls and related industries.
- Successful track record in matrixed and complex operating environments
