We have an opening with one of our client for the position of:

Position : Sales Manager (International Freight Forwarding)

Job Location : Pune

Company/Industry : One of the leading MNC's in the Freight Forwarding Industry

Job Description :

- Responsible for selling value based logistics solutions

- Responsible for identifying new business opportunities through contact with prospective clients in the assigned market or vertical

- Responsible for cross selling new services to new and existing clients for Air Freight and Sea/Ocean Freight

- Responsible for identifying market trends and competitive rate actions and communicating those trends to the management team

- Responsible for identifying the competitive service strengths and weaknesses of the company and making recommendations for continuous improvement initiatives

- Responsible for understanding pricing and cost components associated with proposed solutions

- Responsible for other duties including: sales presentations, developing deliverables, coordinating implementation, creating and adding to existing marketing materials where appropriate

- Responsible for identifying market trends and competitive rate actions and communicating those trends to the management team

- Responsible for identifying the competitive service strengths and weaknesses of the company and making recommendations for continuous improvement initiatives

- Responsible for understanding pricing and cost components associated with proposed solutions

- Enters new customer data and other sales data for clients into proprietary CRM and maintains this information per company policy

Desired Profile : (What the company is looking out in a candidate)

- Bachelor Degree in Business or related field

- 5+ years of applicable industry experience in Sales / Business Development

- Value based solution selling incorporating Air Freight and Sea/Ocean Freight (Import and Export)

- Good Market Knowledge

- Knowledge of transportation and logistics industry required

- Good at communication, Negotiation and client handling skills.
