Job description
The candidate selected for this role will provide deep domain skills to help clients with strategy and business planning to improve: sales strategy and sales operations, channel strategy and design, channel partner management, sales force effectiveness, sales processes, sales compensation & reward and sales operations optimization.
Responsibilities include:
Project Delivery: Work with small to medium-size teams to deliver projects for global clients. Responsibilities may include development and implementation of:
Route to Market Strategy
Portfolio and Product launch strategy
Channel mix assessment and strategy
Trade Spend Optimization
Sales Channel optimization
Pricing Optimization
Incentive Compensation Management
Channel Incentive Management
Sales Performance Analytics
Business Development: Support efforts of global sales team to identify and win potential opportunities within the practice
Domain Development: Develop assets and methodologies, develop of points-of-view, research or white papers, support development of marketing collateral, conduct public speaking and publish in industry periodicals
Experience:
Specific experience will include:
A minimum of 7-8 years of progressive industry experience in the FMCG sector post MBA
Experience creating and implementing sales and marketing strategies towards driving volumes and attaining higher profitability.
Leading a zone/team of sales managers
Leading a trade marketing category
Consulting or functional experience in Strategy and Business Planning for CPG practice is desirable, with focus on:
Product and market entry strategy,
Sales strategy and operations,
Marketing strategy,
Sales compensation strategy and process (for both employees and channel),
Sales model design,
Sales force effectiveness,
Channel strategy and effectiveness,
Partner relationship management
Experience creating / revamping sales models in response to market requirements.
Defining and Managing sales forecasts, experience tracking and communicating progress against the annual operating plan
Experience managing Sales in a multi-channel / multi product / multi location set up
Experience working on a large-scale Business / Operational Transformation project desirable
Experience managing an online sales channel is desirable
Strong analytical and logical skills.
Strong program management skills
Advanced user of excel, including macros.
Experience working with C level executive clients is desirable

Possesses excellent communication (written and oral) skills and excellent presentation skills
Experience working at the highest levels of client organizations and interacting closely with the C level executives in a range of environments
Comfortable functioning in a broadly positioned and highly diverse consulting firm

Strong intellect coupled with proficient commercial instincts
