Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our team. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving end-to-end partnerships with universities and colleges. You will play a crucial role in expanding our customer base, generating leads, making calls, and managing outbound sales efforts. You will also act as an independent contributor, working autonomously to achieve our ambitious sales goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to establish and nurture end to end partnerships with universities and colleges.
- Identify potential leads and opportunities within the higher education sector.
- Conduct outbound sales activities, including cold calling, emailing, and networking, to generate new business.
- Utilize lead generation platforms to identify and engage potential clients.
- Manage inbound and outbound email campaigns to generate and nurture leads.
- Create and deliver compelling sales pitches and presentations to prospective clients.
- Understand and effectively communicate the value proposition of GISUL's edtech products and services.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and materials to support sales efforts.
- Manage and maintain a robust sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up and conversion of leads.
- Negotiate and close sales deals, achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients, ensuring long-term relationships and satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to identify new opportunities and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
- Act as an independent contributor, taking full ownership of sales initiatives and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 10 years of experience in B2B sales, particularly within the higher education sector.
- Strong understanding of the edtech industry and it's challenges
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to generate leads, develop sales strategies, and close deals.
- Proven experience in handling a sales portfolio of at least $1 million annually.
- Familiarity with lead generation platforms, cold calling, and managing inbound/outbound email campaigns.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, startup environment.
- High level of motivation, enthusiasm, and dedication to achieving results.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools is a plus.
