Functions
- Identify and target potential clients within the manufacturing sector who could benefit from our software solutions. Develop and execute strategies to acquire new customers.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to understand and address their unique needs.
- Become an expert in our software tools, and effectively communicate their features and benefits to potential clients.
- Strong communication and customer relationship management skills.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to meet and exceed sales targets. Continuously evaluate and refine sales approaches to adapt to market trends and client needs.
- Conducting market review / studies and analysing competitors' activities thereby devising strategies to counter them.
- Maintain accurate sales records and provide regular reports to the senior management team on sales activities, progress, and forecasts.
- Managing / updating contacts of accounts in the assigned database tool, where necessary.
- Work with technical team to provide inputs in content, customer interest and portal development.
- Prepare marketing materials, trade show booth and materials.
Skills and Competencies
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing or related field; MBA preferred
- Past experience with Fortune 1000 customers around the world in automotive, agriculture, industrial sectors preferred
- Fluent in Hindi, English & other languages preferred
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and software solutions, particularly Ariba and PLM.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and quotas.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Technical skill preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, driven, and capable of working independently.
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Hubspot) and other sales tools.
- Flexible to work 6 days a week.
- Willing to travel whenever needed.
Time Commitment approximately
- 75% time is ideally spent on communicating, meeting and selling with potential customers
- 25% time spent on additional business development initiatives and support to MESH team across variety of activities (collecting/analyzing offers, sales & marketing, events, etc.)
