Typical Work Activities:
The role requires significant interaction with clients, which may be face-to-face or over the telephone and mail. The varied tasks carried out by an IT Sales professional include:
Understanding customers' diverse, specific business needs and applying product knowledge to meet those needs;
- Acquisition of new clients and making a strong sales team.
- Bidding on the various online portals like eLance, Guru in older to fetch new projects and clients.
- Marketing and promoting a portfolio of products by writing and designing sales literature and through attending industry events.
- Pitching and converting projects listed by clients on websites like eLance, Guru etc.
Generate new business leads and arrange meetings;
- Identifying and developing new business through networking and courtesy and follow-up calls.
- Prior knowledge of Google Advertisements to generate incoming leads.
- Preparing and delivering customer presentations and demonstrations of the software, articulately and confidently.
- Developing effective sales plans using sales methodology.
- Meeting sales targets set to the team contributing to team targets.
- Networking with existing customers in order to maintain links and promote additional products and upgrades.
- Responding to tender documents, writing proposals, reports and supporting literature;
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
TOP school education is a plus!
Good understanding of IT concepts.
Good communication skills.
Past experience of more than 4 years in the same role with a leading IT services company.
Important:
Examples of past client portfolios handled – An impressive portfolio of converted clients of the individual (of your own work) will be a big plus.
