Job Summary: The Manager of Sales Excellence in General Trade will be instrumental in refining go-to-market (GTM) strategies, leveraging data to drive decision-making, and implementing innovative plans for new market entries and product launches across various cities. This role focuses on optimizing sales performance through strategic insights and actionable recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
GTM Strategy Refinement:
- Analyse current GTM strategies and identify areas for improvement based on data-driven insights.
- Develop and recommend strategic adjustments to enhance market penetration and sales effectiveness across the general trade sector.
Data Analysis and Insights:
- Utilize advanced data analytics to monitor sales performance, market trends, and customer behaviour.
- Provide actionable recommendations based on data analysis to inform strategic decisions and improve sales outcomes.
Market Expansion and New Market Plans:
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify opportunities for new market entries.
- Develop and execute comprehensive plans for entering new cities or regions, including market assessments, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation.
New Product Launches:
- Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to design and implement successful product launch strategies.
- Analyse market readiness, customer needs, and competitive landscape to ensure effective product positioning and promotion.
Sales Performance Optimization:
- Evaluate and refine sales processes and tactics to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Implement best practices and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement across the sales team.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing, finance, supply chain, and other departments to align GTM strategies and ensure seamless execution.
- Communicate insights and recommendations effectively to stakeholders and senior management.
Reporting and Communication:
- Prepare and deliver detailed reports on sales performance, market analysis, and strategic recommendations.
- Present findings and strategic plans to senior management and key stakeholders, highlighting key opportunities and risks.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in sales excellence.
- Drive innovation and adopt new methodologies to enhance sales strategies and performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Data Analytics, or a related field. Advanced degree or MBA preferred.
- Years of experience in sales management, business analytics, or strategy roles within the general trade sector.
- Proven experience in refining GTM strategies, analyzing data, and implementing market plans.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with new product launches and market expansion projects.
