Sales Consultant - FMCG - Consulting Firm - Contractual

Our client, a global strategy consulting firm, is collaborating with a prominent Indian FMCG company on a large-scale transformation project. They are seeking a seasoned sales consultant with prior experience in the FMCG industry to assist in establishing local sales processes, systems, and units. This project involves working closely with the local sales teams to set up robust operations and recruit distributors.

The consultant will primarily focus on establishing sales and distribution operations in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities in Gujarat. The role requires a hands-on approach, with the consultant being on-site in Ahmedabad and traveling to their base location on a weekly basis. This initiative is part of a significant transformation aimed at scaling up the distribution network and enhancing local sales capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Set up local sales processes, systems, and units in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities in Gujarat

- Identify and onboard distributors to expand the distribution network

- Provide training and support to enhance the performance and effectiveness of the sales teams

- Work closely with local sales teams and potentially lead smaller project teams

- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including local sales teams, distributors, and senior management

Your Background:

- 10+ years of experience in sales and distribution, preferably within the FMCG sector

- Proven track record in establishing sales operations and distribution networks

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- An undergraduate/postgraduate degree from a tier-1 college is preferred

This is a contractual opportunity and will be on an initial 12-month contract. The consultant will be required to travel to Ahmedabad and work on-site five days a week, with the option to travel back to their base location on weekends.
