Safety Manager - EHS - Chemicals

Manager Safety ( EHS ) -- MNC Durable Major (Chemical Major )

Job Responsibilities :-

- Ensure implementation Cos Safety Manual

- Ensure effective control of injuries at the plant.

- Facilitate the conduct Risk Assessment, HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Analysis), JSA (Job Safety Analysis) studies

- Advise General Works Manager on all Safety matters

- Liaison with Inspectorate of Factories and Certifying Surgeon

- Build safety capability of employees

- Improve safety infrastructure and practices

- Ensure prevention and protection against fires

- Advise on procurement to engineering stores

- Facilitate safety promotion and safety culture

- Ensure investigation of safety incidents and implementation of CAPA (corrective & preventive action)

- Facilitate Safety Committees

- Consult and advise other departments on safety matters

Requirement :

- Knowledge on local safety rules and regulation

- Risk Assessment, HAZOP, JSA

- Fire safety

- British Safety Standards Requirements / OSHAS 18001

Experience :

- Comfortable to deal with statutory authorities

- Incident investigations

Education Qualification :

- B.E. or B.Tech. Preferably in Chemical Engg. and

- Diploma / Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety or M.E. Safety from state recognized institute.
