Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive Safety Management System (SMS) to minimize workplace hazards and risks.
- Lead the formulation of annual safety plans and ensure their timely implementation.
- Conduct thorough accident investigations with the Accident Enquiry Committee (AEC) and recommend corrective action plans (CAPAs).
- Analyze safety audit data from various departments, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Facilitate hazard identification and risk assessments for various operations, implementing effective control measures.
- Design and deliver engaging safety awareness initiatives and training programs for employees.
- Ensure the timely submission of SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) and Disaster Management (DM) reports to the relevant authorities.
- Champion a safety-driven culture through proactive measures including safety observations, participation in safety campaigns, and Local Safety Committee (LSC) engagement.
- Develop and implement a Business Continuity Disaster Management Plan (BCDMP) and conduct mock drills to ensure preparedness.
Key Qualifications:
- BE/B.Tech degree in Electrical/EEE with a mandatory Post Diploma in Industrial Safety (PDIS).
- Master's degree in Safety Management (preferred).
- Minimum of 4-25 years of experience in safety management within the industrial sector.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective safety programs.
- Strong understanding of Indian safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team towards a shared safety vision.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
