SA Global Advisors - Senior Associate - Investment Banking - TMT Sector

We are looking for a motivated individual with an entrepreneurial mindset who is passionate about working with founders and investors across the Technology ecosystem to enable Investment and M&A transactions. Given the lean structure and fast-paced IB environment, the candidate is expected to take the lead and be independent, resourceful and self-driven. The ideal candidate would bring investment banking experience across Tech M&A and Investment transactions with experience leading the full cycles of deal execution process. We welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds across Investment Banking, PE/VC with strong transactions experience and demonstrated analytical ability.

As a firm, we believe in providing appropriate opportunities for getting involved with key aspects of Tech transaction advisory services, getting exposure to key external participants in the Investment Banking ecosystem, and building valuable industry connections and professional networks over the longer term.

Broad role with responsibilities spanning Sector coverage, Deal origination and Execution for TMT (Technology, Media and Telecom) Sector. Special focus on high-growth New-gen Mobile, Analytics, Cloud, Digital and IoT businesses within broader Technology sector.

Job Description

- Lead Technology M&A and Investment transactions from post mandate through all aspects of advising stakeholders, investor collateral preparation, Go-to-market, termsheet negotiations, execution process and closure.

- Build expertise and industry depth. Research and Analyse Sectors, Companies, Investors, Acquirers/Targets based on Investment/M&A criteria, etc.

- Engage with Founders and Investors/Acquirers in the Technology ecosystem based on guidance from senior team (effective communication across various channels emails, calls, follow-ups, etc.)

- Perform primary / secondary market research to benchmark sectors, identify new investment trends, business models and opportunities

- Experience building Transaction collateral, Pitch decks, IM, financial models, etc. must be a strength.

- Support end-to-end deal process including conducting primary and secondary research, memos, financial projections and valuations, due diligence and investment committee presentations.

- Take ownership for planning/Prep/set up Client or Investor meetings through various phases of an investment/M&A transaction process.

- Benchmarking Tech sectors, trends, tracking specific deals, transaction multiples, etc. contributing to white-papers /reports.

- Execution of the Corporate/Client Engagement programs, support ecosystem kick-off events/meetings.

- Build TMT domain experience and specialisation while taking ownership and mentoring/training Analyst/intern team members.

Experience & Skill Requirement

- Chartered Accountant or CFA Background with understanding of M&A transactions

- Investment banking experience in the Technology sector is a critical requirement.

- Experience of 4-6 years with an investment banking and advisory firm with 2-4 years experience pitching and execution of live deals.

- Sound knowledge and relevant work experience on industry and macro-economic overviews/studies, competitive landscape, relative valuation, detailed company analysis, Pitch books, IMs, etc.

- Financial modeling and Valuation skills with ability to build Transaction Comps for M&A transactions backed by research.

- Outstanding Interpersonal skills, with an ability to converse with Technology investors and entrepreneurs and build a strong network.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with an ability to present your point of view, supported by data in a crisp and clear manner
