Rustomjee - Sustainability Manager

As a sustainability manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing environmental and sustainability issues surrounding construction projects. Driving implementation of all sustainability initiatives in the actual execution stage of the project shall be the key role and shall oversee the implementation of sustainability strategies. This usually relates to the environmental impacts of the work being carried out, to ensure that the project adheres to the most economically and environmentally friendly methods possible.

Additionally the role of a sustainability manager involves the following duties:

1. Working closely with other functions on execution of GRIHA/IGBC or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) projects for Green Buildings

2. Conducting site assessments on ESG requirements and producing reports on findings. Follow up with project sites for corrective actions

3. Providing assistance to project sites and offices on ensuring collection of ESG data (using software) and verification of data at predefined intervals

4. Assisting various functions in setting, reviewing and tracking progress of ESG goals

5. Organising and chairing meetings

6. Coordinating and Communicating ESG / Sustainability plans to project teams and senior staff.

7. Participating and providing inputs on creating ESG/Sustainability reports based on different frameworks such as BRSR, GRI, GRESB, CDP, etc.

Requisites :

- Civil Engineer/PG degree in Environmental Studies/Sustainable architecture with minimum 4 years experience in driving similar initiatives across mixed use/residential/hospitality projects.

- Applicants with lesser academic qualifications but with an in-depth knowledge of ESG, Sustainability in built environment, low or zero-carbon technology, or understanding of building regulations and substantial hands on experience in implementing similar initiatives across projects are welcome to apply as well.
