Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Manager, Business Development to lead our efforts in expanding our client base and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have 5-15 years of experience in business development within the financial research or KPO sectors, with a proven track record of working with corporates, investment firms, and startups. This role requires collaboration with the Managing Director in strategizing and executing the sales plan. Based in Mumbai, you will play a crucial role in sourcing clients and fostering long-term relationships that contribute to RubyWorks' success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and Market Understanding: Conduct thorough research to understand our client segments, their key problems, and where our product-market fit stands.
- Target Planning: Understand quarterly targets and collaborating with the Managing Director to create a probability weighted sales plan for targeting each client segment separately.
- Lead Generation: Generate leads both domestically and internationally through inbound and outbound marketing strategies, focusing on lead conversions through face-to-face meetings and calls.
- Proposal Development: Develop compelling proposals while maintaining continuous interaction with leads to enhance conversion rates.
- Referral Network Management: Stay in touch with our referral network and channel partners to source indirect leads effectively.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, understanding their needs and aligning them with RubyWorks' offerings.
- Upselling/Cross-selling: Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling our products within existing accounts.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor sales performance metrics, providing regular updates to senior management on progress against targets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5-15 years of experience in business development within financial research, KPO, or similar fields.
- Proven track record of successfully sourcing clients and managing accounts.
- Strong understanding of CRM systems for lead tracking and account management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and market trends effectively.
