Responsibilities:

- End to End Role - deal origination, execution and transaction closure

- Preparation of information memorandums, financial models and pitch decks

- Forming a view on valuations of companies. This will involve application of different valuation methodologies that will be relevant to the company being valued

- Assisting the senior team on M&A/ fund raising transactions which will involve the following:

- Originating the client and pitching to them

- Preparing marketing collaterals for investors. Key thing here would be to make the right pitch to investors which will also involve participating in ideating sessions with the management team

- Understanding financial statements of companies and helping present financials in the most appropriate way to investors

- Engaging with investors to build their conviction about the opportunity

- Advising on term sheet that will include valuation and key deal terms

- Assist in due diligence initiated by investors which will involve collating data, analysis, assessing implications on the deal, etc.

- Advising on definitive agreements (share purchase agreements, share subscription agreement, etc.)

- Assisting in deal closure

- Assisting the senior team for business development (BD)

- Researching different sectors and develop investment thesis to form a view on sectors/ segments that are likely to do well in future along with appropriate rationale and pursue such sectors to identify BD opportunities

- Interacting with clients and investors

- Originating and cultivating relationships with clients, prospective clients and investors (entrepreneurs / CXOs / PE or VC funds / family offices/ professional advisors)

Skills sets required:

- Strong analytical skills and ability to understand business, strategic and financial strengths/ weaknesses of companies

- Strong ability to understand and interpret financial statements and performing valuation analysis

- Hunger to learn and self-motivated

- Ability to create research papers

- Ability to work on multiple engagements and meet client deliverables

- Capability to interact with management teams and investors

- Attention to detail

- Excellent communication, drafting and presentation skills

- Strong work ethic

- Well versed with MS office (excel/ word/ power point/ etc.)

Preferred candidates: CA/CFA/MBA (top tier colleges) with experience in:

- Investment Banking (M&A and capital raising) or;

- Financial due diligence or valuation with Big 5 or;

- Experience in working for strategy/ M&A for corporate groups or;

- Experience with back-office investment banking department of bulge bracket IB firms
