Background - FMCG Business

RPSG FMCG Business has made strong initial inroads by creating a new segment of snacks in the Indian market, with its brand "Too Yumm" In a short period the brand has established itself across India as a strong choice vis a vis of traditional fried. This was possible by bold investments in product design and go to market. The division also has forayed into traditional snacks and Ayurveda ( Dr Vaidya's). The group is now in earnest to build the FMCG business in India through bold organic growth and acquisitions.

Scale exponentially the E commerce business for Too Yumm! through sound strategy, building strong relationships with platform, stabilizing operations, building efficiencies and guiding and mentoring the team.





Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced and analytical CMI (Consumer and Market Insights) Manager to join our team. As a CMI Manager, you will be responsible for understanding consumer behaviour, market trends, current brand consumers, competitive consumers, learnings and insights to partner in developing a disruptive innovation pipeline for aggressive growth as well as understand the competitive landscape to develop strategic insights that will drive business growth and enhance our brand's position within the Foods industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Consumer Insights:

- Conduct thorough research and analysis to understand consumer preferences, needs, and behaviors within the Foods category.

- Identify and track key market trends, consumer demographics, and competitive activities to gain a comprehensive understanding of the market dynamics.

- Utilize various research methodologies such as surveys, focus groups, and interviews to gather consumer insights and feedback.

- Analyze data and present actionable insights to cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product Development, and Sales.

- Create a dedicated consumer panel to leverage in developing innovation ideas and fine-tuning them and also get early feedback on new launches and initiatives like new brand campaigns and new packaging.

2. Market Analysis:

- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments within the Foods category.

- Conduct regular market and competitive intelligence assessments to identify potential opportunities and threats.

- Stay up-to-date with industry publications, reports, and trade shows to gather insights and benchmark against competitors.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop market strategies and product positioning based on market insights.

3. Brand Strategy:

- Develop and implement brand strategies for the Foods category based on consumer insights and market analysis.

- Collaborate with Marketing teams to create compelling messaging and positioning strategies that resonate with target consumers.

- Provide recommendations on new product development, packaging, pricing, and promotional strategies based on consumer preferences and market trends.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, and Product Development, to ensure alignment and integration of consumer insights into business strategies.

- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders in leveraging consumer insights to make informed decisions.

- Collaborate with external research agencies and vendors to execute research projects and ensure quality data collection.

Qualifications & Skills Required

- MBA in Marketing or a related field.

- Work Experience 7-10 Yrs

- Proven experience in Consumer and Market Insights, preferably from FMCG industry.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.

- Proficient in using market research tools and techniques, such as surveys, focus groups, and data analytics software.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey insights and recommendations to stakeholders.

- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
