Candidate profile:
- Post Graduate in Finance/ Economics. CFA (USA) certification will be preferred
- 2-4 years of experience in providing buy/sell side investment research support across one or more of the following asset classes: Economics, FX/currency, Equities, Fixed Income, Credit, Commodities, Real estate investments and Hedge funds.
- Exposure in writing investment research reports and thematic papers
- Hands-on with high proficiency in financial databases such as Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters and Datastream
- Excellent communication skills coupled with prior experience in handling senior stakeholders at American or European Investment Banks, Asset Management firms or PE firms
- Expert knowledge of MS Office Suite, especially MS-Word & MS-Excel
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the project lead to gather research requirements, scope out projects and build research strategy
- Source data from various sources and conduct financial analysis
- Create and maintain databases to enable a quick turnaround delivery
- Write short commentary on market moving events, data releases and Central bank meetings.
- Contribute to thematic papers, position papers and investment research reports for internal consumption and external circulation
- Prepare comprehensive fact packs for equity and fixed income funds that provide international investors an insight into the fund strategy, performance and portfolio positioning
- Write macro-economic national/international/global reports on monthly and quarterly basis that cover major investment themes and a futuristic outlook
- Take up training and knowledge sharing initiatives at a corporate level in the areas of macro-economic and investment research
