Candidate profile

- MBA from leading B-Schools

- 4+ years of experience in Business Research & Consulting with high level of proficiency in conducting desk based research

- 2+ years of experience in managing senior client and internal stakeholders

- Strong project management skills and hands- and multi-tasking abilities

- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

- Impeccable verbal and written communication skills

- The candidate should be flexible to work on the various areas of research, mostly secondary, with elements of primary as and when required; and across industries

Technical Skills

- In depth knowledge of analytical tools and frameworks; ability to build client-ready deliverables and identify new approaches and analytical frameworks for complex client-specific situations.

- Significant exposure to PowerPoint as well as MS-Excel (advanced excel features)

- In-depth understanding of database including Bloomberg, CapitalIQ, Avention OneSource, Mergermarket, etc.

- Excellent data representation, interpretation and synthesis skills. Exposure to creative ways of data representation like Mekko charts

- Workflow management skills, managing multiple projects & deliverables simultaneously, raising flags for both underutilization and overutilization etc.

- Strong business acumen- should be able to correlate market drivers, challenges with impact on client or target companies, should be able to evaluate business risks etc.

- Experience of working on process improvement tools. Preferable to have been involved in development of new products/ tools during their professional experience

- Experience of working on deal origination assignments (across industries), covering both public companies and private companies. Experience of executing company/ industry/ sector benchmarking studies.

- Exposure of implementing and integrating automation and productivity tools (for instance, tools related to automating data gathering from secondary sources, tools related to automating repetitive tasks for data analysis, etc.) in research assignments. Experience of writing macros will be useful.
