RocSearch - Associate Manager - Financial Research

Candidate profile :

Academic qualifications : Commerce Graduate/MBA (Finance)/CFA/CA

Professional exposure :

- Relevant 4-7 years of experience within the financial and investment research domain with exposure in either one or more of the following segments,

Equity Research : Expertise into financial modeling with strong report writing skills, including initiation coverages

Financial Analysis and broader spectrum of Investment Banking Research :

- Financial statement analysis, ratio analysis, pitch books, financial modeling & valuation, comparable and transaction analysis, credit research, detailed industry & sector coverages, investment notes, company profiles, stock screening, distressed company analysis, and working capital analysis

Skill Sets Requirement :

- Impeccable verbal and written communication skills

- Ability of work on multiple requirements, along with being able to prioritize work and meet scheduled timelines

- Should have managed small sets of people, with the ability to monitor junior analysts

- Strong quantitative analytical skills

- Demonstrate learning aptitude, openness to feedback and ability to work in a team as well as individually

- Proficient in databases, should have ideally worked on Bloomberg, Factiva, OnseSource etc.

- Proficient in MS-Office: Excel, Word and PowerPoint

- Should ideally have working experience within in KPO / Consulting firms / investment banks / brokerage houses etc.

Role and Responsibilities :

- Manage, with the ability to work hands down as required on projects of varying nature within the financial services domain including but not limited to financial analysis, ratio analysis, financial modeling, equity research, report writing and presentations, investment banking support and industry research

- Work on multiple assignments, including a mix of dedicated and ad-hoc projects with one or more clients

- Manage a small team of junior analysts

- Should be able to work on a variety of financial assignments independently like complex modeling, forecasting and valuation, M&A models, thematic reports, and investment ideas

- Strong on communication, should be able to independently manage client conversations, both oral and written across client types and geographies

- Ability to assist senior management and business development team on pilot projects, collaterals, and marketing material, as necessary

- Ability to understand, scope and execute client requests while maintaining high degree of quality standards with the stated timelines
