The Position

RML is looking to induct a few Product Managers. The position will report in to the Head of Marketing.

The Company acknowledges that in order to fulfil its growth aspirations, it will need to revisit its existing Marketing Function and develop and implement a well thought out new strategy for novel product offerings, branding, positioning, segmentation, differentiation, distribution and value creation, both for its retail consumers and enterprise customers, while continuing to build on its intrinsic strengths of product innovation, quality and technical superiority.

The Product Mangers job will be to provide high quality, insightful and well researched answers to such and similar questions:

- What are the top 3 most critical challenges for my Product this year-

- What are the revenue and profitability expectations for each product line-

- Which products are to be added to the portfolio and which are to be dropped-

- How do we build brands around our products-

- Which way are markets headed-

- What is the competition doing and planning- How are we going to respond-

- How do we increase customer preference/pull for our products-

- How do we create actual or perceived differentiation in our products

- Which new markets or product lines should be considered for the future-

- What strategic partnerships should we get into-

- What resource changes are expected for the coming year-

- How to undertake Sales data/analytics and make it insightful-

- How to better support the Sales Team-

- How to enhance business with current Enterprise Customers and acquire new ones-

The incumbent will therefore be responsible for ensuring that the product strategy of the company is met through defining of the market requirements, functional requirements and packaging the features into timely product releases for RMLS rural offerings.

The selected candidate(s) will be a member of the Marketing Team of the Company and lead its Marketing efforts to ensure delivery of its business goals of revenues, profitability and growth. Both Operations & Technology Functions will work in close collaboration with Marketing.

The position is based at Mumbai.

The Person

Should be an Engineer and a MBA (Marketing) from one of the top Institutes. Target age is in the mid to late twenties. Desired experience is at least 2 years post qualification although candidates with lesser (including freshers) or more experienced can also apply and on selection, will be offered a position and compensation commensurate with experience. Should have high energy, drive, innovation and excellent people skills.

Remuneration will be excellent and includes an aggressive stock options scheme.
