BFSI LoB Risk Lead, RMAC
Education: Minimum Graduate
Mandatory - Commerce or Accountancy + MBA with finance
Desirable - CA or Post Graduate (Commerce)
Professional Certifications: Certifications in the field of audit or risk management
Mandatory - At least one of CISM or CISSP
Desirable - Any security related certification, eg CFSA, CFP, CFE, CFA or CISA etc
Experience:
Mandatory - Minimum 12 years with at least 3 years in BFSI Risk / Compliance
Desirable - Should have handled risk in different BFSI domains previously
Skills:
Mandatory - Good knowledge of Risk Management and Controls appropriate to the BFSI domain
Leadership capabilities with strong influencing and interpersonal skills
Fluent in oral and written communication, especially in English
Excellent cross-cultural sensitivity
Desirable - Analytical / Creativity ability to resolve complex problems and/or identify alternatives where established procedures may not exist
Decisive and able to take sound judgemental calls consistently
Location: Based out of Pune or Chennai, work closely with the BPO BFSI LoB Head
Should be ready to travel across India, at times internationally
Role Description
This role has overall responsibility for leading Risk activities covering WBPO operations in the BFSI domain. The incumbent has to ensure
a) Manage a distributed team of risk professionals aligned to the processes in the region. Some may not be direct reports
b) Represent Wipro Risk team in Client meetings and pitches for new and existing business
c) Compliance to regional, country, state / province and city level regulations for all operations in the domain and drive identified gaps to closures
d) Compliance to all Contractual terms related to Risk
e) Enforce ISMS policies and procedures for meeting ISO27001 standards for existing accounts and any proposed solution for new business
f) Design, planning and implementation of the operational risk management framework. This includes responsibility for ensuring that operational risk management is delivered within the framework as defined by the respective clients
g) Ability to think strategically, demonstrating thought leadership whilst being capable of translating concepts into effective processes within acceptable timeframes and budgets.
h) Act as escalation / reference point on the risk management framework and the business risk profile providing guidance / decisions as appropriate.
i) Support the ongoing business-wide risk and controls assessment of processes and infrastructure
j) Ensure policies, processes and standards are in place to identify, assess, measure, manage and report risks, including identification of systemic operational risk. This responsibility extends to assisting with driving forward remedial action plans ensuring these are robust and timely
k) Champion the oversight and implementation of the various control measures across the business
l) Create, maintain and test business continuity plans at account level and architect for prospective clients
m) Act as the BFSI Subject Matter expert (SME) on Risk and drive actions required to ensure the businesses remain fully compliant
n) Investigate security incidents and Ombuds complaints
o) Responsible for building, developing & maintaining effective relationships with Key stakeholders in Client Organisations, especially related to their Risk functions
p) Demonstrate commitment to personal development of self and team
