Summary of Responsibilities
Seeking an experienced leader to own the vision for Product. You will lead large teams of senior product and program managers responsible for driving innovation and advocating on behalf of our customers. Leveraging a large technology team and world-class design team, you and your team will build a suite of customer-facing products and services from product discovery to post-order. You will own current and future innovations on behalf of our customers across multiple platforms of Hospitality software products & solutions.
As the leader of the Product you will relentlessly advocate for the customer and champion the voice of the customer within the company to shape the direction of improvement projects across the organization. You will set the tempo for defect reduction through continuous improvement and drive accountability across multiple business units in order to deliver large scale high visibility/ high impact projects. You will lead by example to be just as passionate about operational performance and predictability as you will be about all other aspects of customer experience. .
Key job functions include:
- Lead a small team of product managers to successfully meet the product goals for Client. Hospitality/Internet Booking Engines could be a special focus area.
Develop a deep understanding of end users and clients and work with the product manages to:
- Identify gaps in current product, and launch the right set of features
- Look beyond the obvious and come up with path breaking products which would be really helpful for the user
- Conceptualize products which could be new revenue streams, channels
- Conceptualize and launch offerings for niche target segments.
- Tasks would include managing the team of product manages to deliver new products, functionality and features to meet product metrics and goals.
Education
- University Degree in a related subject and / or related job experience
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Strong customer focused and product centric.
- Must possess strong time management and organizing skills, including the ability to document strategies, tactical plans and execute delivery.
- Excellent presentation skills, written communications and negotiation skills required.
- Must be a leader and a coach, capable of building, guiding and motivating a team
- Strong problem solving skills at both a strategic and functional level.
- Capable of interfacing well at all levels within a large organization and customer base
- High energy, with a strong can do / will do attitude a Team player
