Resource Manager plays a crucial role in the efficient allocation and utilization of human resources. This position involves overseeing resource allocation, capacity planning, and workforce management to ensure that projects and initiatives are adequately staffed and completed on time. The RMG Manager works closely with practice heads, project managers, delivery leads, and HR teams to optimize resource allocation and maintain a balanced workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

Resource Allocation:

- Collaborate with practice leads, client engagement managers, project managers and team leads to assess project resource requirements.

- Allocate resources based on project priorities, skillsets, and availability. If there is a skill gap, initiate project specific training / upskilling

- Ensure that the right individuals are assigned to projects, taking into account their strengths and weaknesses.

Capacity Planning:

- Monitor and analyse resource utilization and availability across the organization.

- Forecast resource needs for upcoming projects and initiatives.

- Identify resource gaps and proactively plan for hiring or upskilling to address them.

Workforce Optimization:

- Work closely with HR to identify and address resource constraints, such as recruitment, retention, and training needs.

- Implement strategies to optimize resource utilization, minimize downtime, and improve productivity.

- Work closely with Practice leads to foster a culture of continuous learning and development to enhance employee skills and capabilities.

Reporting and Metrics:

- Develop and maintain resource management metrics and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).

- Regularly communicate resource allocation and capacity status to senior management and project stakeholders.

- Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive resource management improvements.

Conflict Resolution:

- Resolve resource allocation conflicts or disputes among project teams.

- Mediate discussions between project managers and practice leads to ensure fair and effective resource distribution.

Resource Management Tools:

- Utilize resource management software and tools to streamline allocation processes and maintain accurate records.

- Stay up to date with industry best practices and technology trends related to resource management.

Stakeholder Communication:

- Maintain open and transparent communication with project managers, practice heads, and executives.

- Foster positive relationships and collaboration among cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in business management, human resources, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.

- 10+ years of relevant work expertise.

- Proven experience in resource management, workforce planning, or a related field.

- Proven expertise in handling resource management activities within Data & Analytics space

- Strong Data analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in resource management software and tools.

- Knowledge of project management methodologies is beneficial.

- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

- Leadership and team-building skills to manage a resource management team if applicable
