Role: Manager Research
Reports to: Senior Manager Research
Location: Mumbai
Education and background: BS/MS/CA with an MBA from a top-tier school with 5-7 years of experience in industry/country/business/market research, preferably in Life Science/Aviation/Mining/BFSI industry, with in-depth knowledge of global marketplace, key trends, economic and geo-political developments, global supply chain, and key business and financial risks.
Any certifications in the financial services markets will be an advantage. The candidate should have an experience of working with a US/UK based financial services/consulting firm of global repute. He/She should have managed delivery and a team of research analysts/associates

Key responsibilities:
- Deliver insights/research/analytics of higher quality to drive business strategy and growth
- Enhance the quality, relevance and profile of research and build excellent credibility with various business divisions globally by assisting stakeholders/consultants with meaningful research/analysis, white papers, publication in industry periodicals and marketing collateral
- Develop specialized industry/country knowledge and build in-depth understanding of related insurance/re-insurance markets globally
- Develop and maintain proprietary research tools, technology and databases
- Manage multiple projects and delivery schedule within challenging timescales with highest standards of accuracy and quality and according to agreed SLAs
- Development of a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge acquisition and sharing. Be responsible for setting up high standard of research processes
- Build and develop stakeholder relationship and manage engagement risk
- Business development including indentifying new research opportunities/growth areas, increasing penetration and broaden the basket of research services to be offered to global business divisions
- Mentor, Motivate, counsel, coach and develop a team of 7-10 industry/country specialists to delivery in-depth research/analysis. Actively participate in recruitment and retention activities
- Ensure strong people and performance management processes are in place to retain talent. Build on the current employee development strategy to attract and retain talent (secondments, rewards and recognition in place). Identify career path for team members and mentor development. Conduct performance appraisals and assist in recruitment
Must haves for this role:
- Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills with ability to translate data into meaningful insights

- Advanced skills in MS Office and various databases
