Research/Sr Research Analyst - Mumbai/Pune/Bangalore- Weekly Rotational Shift

Client : Insurance Company

Office location : Mumbai/Pune/Bangalore

Shift : 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM & 2:30 PM to 9:30 PM

Candidates should be flexible to travel onshore incase business demands.

Experience :

- Minimum 2 years of experience, preferably in a research role, in financial services, professional services, or insurance.

- Prior solid experience in working with research projects utilizing various qualitative research techniques.

- Demonstrable experience in and knowledge of the methodologies of open-source research.

- Experience incorporating open-source research methodologies into traditional research projects is desirable.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams.

Proficiency with SharePoint is desirable.

Skills & Abilities :

- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are required.

- Strong interpersonal skills in order to work collaboratively within the team as well as with external stakeholders are required.

- Ability to multi-task effectively, including having good planning, organization skills, and the ability to work under pressure are required.

- Ability to clearly communicate research methodologies and findings is required.

- Strong initiative and follow-through, the capacity to think creatively and strategically, excellent writing and editing skills, are required.

- Ability to make sound decisions consistent with functions is required.

Key Accountabilities :

Research :

- Research, analyse and collate information and intelligence on the insurance market including; analysis on environmental, social, political and financial risks that can affect insurance buying habits and/or future market fluctuations.

- Research must include local/industry press, Lloyds of London data, third party research platforms, insurer and broker feedback on market fluctuations and regulatory/governmental changes.

- Prospect and client research; including developing target lists for business development activities.

- Working with the Business Development Executives, using research to support the business in the development of clear sales propositions; both short and longer term.

- Be on the front foot and proactive in spotting opportunities, by being aware of key insurance industry topics, themes and trends. Present these findings to the Business Development Executives who can then use these to build own strategies for new business.

- Supporting the Business Development Executives by developing analysis to track and measure Specialtys divisional performance YOY and by quarter, and also comparing this to competitor performance.

- Work closely with the Market Management team to understand how insurer appetite aligns with market trends, and then using this analysis to underpin our new business initiatives.

Other responsibilities :

- Ability to work to tight deadlines when undertaking background research for tenders/ bids.

- Ability to work independently with a high attention to detail and be primarily desk based.

- Manage external relationships with third party research houses or data platforms.

- Develop and maintain business risk/insurance/market/legal/regulatory and other technical knowledge.

- Ensure necessary business, compliance, data and legal standards and sign-offs are understood and adhered to.
