Research Analyst - Real Estate (AIF)

Job Purpose/Role Description:

- Create financial models to evaluate potential new development or investment opportunities. Models include project and portfolio level performance and structured finance

- Create financial models to evaluate investment as well as exit strategies with operating costs/revenue and income streams.

- Support associate and principal with financial models and analysis

- Update financial models with actual data to evaluate investments.

- Preparation of presentations, pitch books and investment committee documents

- Perform market research to determine/verify a project's economics and to verify assumptions used in models.

- Identify economic/general issues with potential economic impact.

- Work with Development teams to understand and resolve development issues

- Assist with investment due diligence.

- Assist with physical due diligence (including review of documents, coordination with consultants) of potential investments.

- Perform market analysis and cultivate relationships for market information.

- Perform special projects/analysis

- Summarize and present findings and recommendations

- Market research on pricing, trends, demand / supply

Experience:

- 3 to 5 years in working in Big 4 accounting firm, investment banking, private equity firm or corporate finance team of a leading developer company

- The analyst should have strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, strong working knowledge of advanced financial modeling. Good with PowerPoint.

- Experience in due diligence and understanding of capital structure.

Qualification:

- MBA in Finance, Chartered Accountant, IIT other equivalent engineering degree.
