Research Analyst - Growth Equities

We are seeking to hire a few Research Analysts to join our Growth Equities team across the following focus areas:

Asia Growth - Non-ASEAN Focus

Asia Growth - ASEAN Focus

Role Overview:

- The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong alignment with our team culture and possess the ability to adopt and apply our investment processes effectively. This is a critical position with diverse responsibilities, including but not limited to:

- Data Compilation & Research: Gather and analyze data, including handling ad hoc research projects as required by the team.

- Market Analysis & Product Development: Conduct market research, perform competitor analysis, and support the development of new products.

- Investment Idea Generation: Identify and present new investment opportunities through comprehensive research and financial analysis. This includes detailed financial modeling and assessing key business drivers and valuations.

- Presentation & Communication: Deliver company and industry analyses to the broader team, including regional counterparts, while clearly articulating and debating key business and valuation drivers.

- Collaborative Engagement: Participate actively in discussions on stock and portfolio ideas, providing thoughtful contributions and critiques.

- Cross-Platform Collaboration: Work closely with other focus teams to leverage expertise and contribute across the equity platform.

- Networking & Idea Generation: Build and maintain a network of contacts across sectors and geographies to support channel checks and generate fresh investment ideas.

- Client & Marketing Support: Assist with marketing and client servicing tasks, including performance and risk analysis and updating presentation materials.

Candidate Profile:

- We are looking for individuals who exhibit the following attributes:

- Experience: Prior experience analyzing Asian companies, including mid and small-cap firms.

- Attention to Detail: Meticulous, detail-oriented, and capable of handling complex analysis.

- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear presentations.

- Team Collaboration: A collaborative mindset, open to receiving and providing constructive feedback.

- Entrepreneurial Spirit: A proactive approach to identifying new ideas and investment opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience Level: Approximately 3-7 years as an equity analyst with a proven track record of success.

- Certifications: CFA Charter holder status is advantageous.

- Language Skills: Fluency in Mandarin, Korean, or Bahasa Indonesia/Malaysia is highly desirable.

- Experience living and working in target markets would be an additional asset.
