Job Description

To design and implement GST controls, identification and mitigation of GST risks & TCS return filing. The role will also oversee the compliance u/s 194 O of the Income Tax Act 1961. The role will also involve in making sure the compliance related to operation of Nodal and Escrow account. The role will involve participation in cross-functional business projects and will therefore; also require project management ability, understanding of financial systems, and technical accounting awareness.

Key Responsibilities/ outcomes

1. Working with the Indirect Tax Team (IDT) on implementation of strategies to improve controls and reduce risk

2. Assisting in GST compliance and Audits.

3. Providing audit support and data analysis review processes.

4. Providing support and advice to Tax colleagues as well as the Business and Accounting teams.

5. Reconciliation and filing of TCS returns in FORM GSTR8.

6. Will be responsible for enforcing Nodal/Escrow account compliance and ensure business continuity.

7. Responsible for leading audits of the Nodal / Escrow account and support external and internal auditors

8. Function as subject matter expert w.r.t GST, TCS & TDS requirements of the systems.

9. Manage business requirements in driving operations goals and in turn support business teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualification

Chartered Accountant or Similar stream

Experience

- Previous experience of working in Account Receivables.

- Experience in dealing with both finance and non-finance senior Manager.

- Experience of bringing financial information together with Non-Financial information.

- Experience in Project Management and detailing the project requirements.

- Experience in working in complex financial environment.

- Total years of experience above 5+ years.

- Previous experience of working in similar role in large business set-up.

Knowledge

- Knowledge of general accounting principles

- Savvy with technology and use intelligent tools to analyse information.

- Business Knowledge, insights on the business intricacies associated with different business models.

- Use of SAP and other reporting tools.

Skills

- Excellent analytical and communication skills

- Management of people effectively to produce the desire output.

- Ability to plan and manage own workload to meet the deadlines.

- Excellent presentation skills

- Excellent negotiation skills to influence the external parties for compliance.

- Excellent inter-department working skills
