Program Manager (Trade Compliance)

Job Summary
As a Program Manager (Trade and Compliance), you will be joining our rapidly growing business for exports, strategizing and executing on a broad range of export compliance matters. You will directly work with multiple teams including sales and business development, product, supply chain, legal, tax and a variety of other businesses including external vendors. Your principal duties will include- a) working with reliance's Global Trade team to execute strategy and enforce global export processes, seek automation opportunities and leverage technologies; (b) partner with internal customers to build and enforce regulatory compliance to mitigate risk to Reliance and customers; (c) drive scalable business solutions to ensure compliance with trade regulations; (d) provide global customs and trade compliance guidance to programs that will result in unlocking new business opportunities; e) create a compliance and legal framework along with automation tools and dashboard which will help in guiding internal teams through product compliance regulations; (f) work with Reliance's internal technology teams to develop creative and best-in-class trade compliance business processes that scale
Skills Required:
1. 5+ years of trade compliance experience in managing import/export compliance- industries like e-commerce, FMCG, start-ups preferred
2. Ability to provide detailed subject matter expertise on end-to-end requirements from identification of trade regulations in India including SCOMET, FEMA, CAAR, ECCN/HSN classification, managing regulatory contacts, and other matters of trade compliance
3. Ability to accurately identify compliance gaps, perform research, and accurately communicate findings and recommendations
4. Knowledge of import and export compliance requirements
5. Ability to create and utilize metrics and reporting to define program health and progress

Preferred Qualifications:
1. MBA from Tier 1/Tier2 institute preferable. Not mandatory for exceptional compliance rock stars.
2. Graduation mandatory.
3. 8+ years of overall experience with minimum 5 years in trade compliance.
