Management and handling of Stressed / NPA assets

Key Accountabilities :

- Coordinating & communicating with clients as well as all internal communication. Regular monitoring of borrower accounts / regular follow-ups and maintaining an update on the developments in the respective borrower accounts.

- Initiating legal action under recovery laws (SARFAESI / DRT / NCLT/ S.138 / Arbitration / Settlements etc). Liaison with the legal team and external law firms.

- Resolution of NPL cases. Preparing resolution proposals & scrutinizing relevant documents (financial and security documents) before proposing/seeking approval from competent authority. Should have experience in asset monetisation;

- Ensuring that resolution strategies are in compliance with organizational and regulatory guidelines.

- Liaison with other departments (Risk/Credit/Legal/Compliance) as per the requirements;

- Coordinate with various departments and Head Office for SAM MIS, for internal as well as external reporting. Resolving queries of the internal, concurrent as well as RBI auditors.

Job Duties & Responsibilities :

- Adhere to the internal and regulatory risk management guidelines. Take control of all reporting requirements internal as well external.

- Develop Recovery Plan for accounts in the portfolio. Heighten portfolio monitoring to preserve the quality of our assets on a continuous basis.

- Ensure reviews are completed prior to due date and are error free.

- Interact and follow up with clients on required information and clarifications.

Required Experience :

- Experience in Banking (preferably in Stress Dept) / ARC

Education / Preferred Qualifications - Professional qualification / post graduate degree, preferably MBA / Chartered Accountant

4) Good knowledge of industries/sectors.

5) Ability to perform under pressure / strict timelines

Technical Competencies :

1) Sound knowledge of legal process applicable for resolution of NPL cases.

2) Sound understanding of regulatory guidelines issued by RBI, specifically on stress and other regulations that impact businesses in general.

3) Basic knowledge of legal environment in India
