Urgent opening "Government Business Relationship Manager (SM/AVP) in leading bank .
Roles and responsibilities :
The role of a 'Relationship Manager (RM) / Senior Relationship Manager (SRM) - Government Business' would comprise managing the banking and related activities for identification, penetration, acquisition, augmenting and driving the government business in the mapped branches / clusters / geographical areas.
The prime responsibilities would consist of :
1. Generation of CA, SA and TD business from the mapped branches / clusters / segments /geographical areas.
2. Management of premium relationships
3. Empanelment of bank at state / organization level for banking arrangements for both agency and non-agency businesses.
4. Understanding of state plans on Treasury/other Platform Automation, eGovernance projects and initiate for bank's participation/on-boarding in SNA for Centrally Sponsored Schemes and other projects / platforms.
5. Engage with and source business from
(a) State Departments, State Corporations, State PSUs, Boards, Urban Local Bodies, SPVs, State Autonomous Bodies and granular business relationships at Zilla, Taluk, GP level.
(b) Central PSEs, Defence Establishments, Autonomous Bodies and their Exempted PF/Gratuity/Superannuation Fund Trusts.
6. Promote and achieve cross sell business through Salary, CMS, Merchant Acquiring and Digital Products.
7. Achievement of target in terms of CASA, FD and Fee Income.
8. Activation of branches for Government Business.
9. Coordinate/collaborate with branch banking and other business vertical teams for bringing awareness about government business products/services, generation and conversion of leads by motivating branches for increased share of Govt. Business in their overall liability book.
10. Understanding of the customized requirements of the clients and work on solution in coordination with internal stakeholders viz. Transactional Banking, Product, IT, Line Manager and any other related stakeholders for smooth roll out and implementation of projects to be done.
11. Initiation and participation in tenders floated by Govt. Bodies / PSUs for notified banking arrangements (CMS, e-Governance solutions etc.), work around pre-bid and post-bid activities.
12. Track portfolio behavior/daily movements, analysis and undertake measures for sustainable business book through de-risking. Compliance, Risk and maintenance of hygiene in the mapped accounts / relationships.
13. Be the Nodal/Interface Point and attend to the quarterly/periodic review meetings convened by RBI, AG's Office on agency business; Attend to the meetings convened by other agencies like O/o. CGA on PFMS related review meetings at the State level.
