The Relationship Manager in Branch Banking is responsible for managing and enhancing the relationship with existing and potential clients to achieve sales targets for various banking products and services.
This role requires a proactive approach to customer service, the ability to understand customer needs, and a thorough knowledge of financial products.
Responsibilities:
- A Relationship Manager is primarily responsible for providing financial solutions to the HNI customers and ensuring value added services.
- Responsible for increasing liabilities size of relationship via balances in accounts of existing customers and enhancing customer profitability by capturing larger share of wallet.
- Responsible for deepening the existing relationships by cross selling of Bank's products and Services/ third party investment products.
- Increasing customer engagement through other non-investment products like Forex, Remittances, Loans, etc to the new and existing customers.
- Ensuring that the customers are sufficiently educated/ leveraged on the best financial solutions.
- Providing Financial Solutions to HNI Customers and Value-Added Services: Relationship Managers focus on understanding the complex financial needs of High Net Worth Individuals (HNIs) and providing them with tailored financial solutions. This involves conducting in-depth financial assessments, developing personalized investment strategies, and recommending appropriate banking products and services to optimize the client's financial portfolio.
- Additionally, Relationship Managers strive to add value by offering supplementary services such as financial planning advice, portfolio reviews, and access to exclusive banking privileges to enhance the overall client experience.
- Increasing Liabilities Size and Enhancing Customer Profitability: Relationship Managers are responsible for growing the size of liabilities held by existing clients, including deposits, investments, and other financial products.
- They achieve this by analyzing the client's financial situation, identifying opportunities for asset allocation, and implementing strategies to maximize the profitability of each client relationship. This may involve encouraging clients to maintain higher balances, consolidating accounts, and cross-selling complementary banking products and services to capture a larger share of the client's wallet.
- Deepening Existing Relationships through Cross-Selling: Relationship Managers focus on strengthening and expanding existing client relationships by cross-selling a wide range of banking products and services. This includes promoting the bank's proprietary products as well as third-party investment options to diversify the client's portfolio and meet their evolving financial needs.
