Qualification:
Essential : BE-Mechanical
Preferred : ME-Mechanical, MBA
Key Competencies :
- Power Plant Process/operations knowledge
- Ability to network with sites and other stakeholders
- Understanding and knowledge of best practices and benchmarks of Power Industry
- Ability to carry out efficiency performance monitoring of power plant
- Sound knowledge of MS Office
Key Responsibilities :
Financial :
- Collecting, collating, presenting and bringing out issues of power plants and bring them to the notice of CEO
- Carrying out analysis of plant performance parameters such as PLF, Aux power availability, Aux power consumption and bring out overall cost of generation
Operational :
- Preparation of Daily MIS, MoMs and follow ups with stakeholders to ensure adherence to timelines and carry out smooth follow up actions on behalf of the CEO's office
- Carry out variety of calculations to check the data received with respect to generation, PLF, tariff, UI, outage, tripping, tube leakage (TL), etc
- Study, prepare and report information from various external sources like CEA and peer company data available on public domain
- Monitoring the implementation of IMS standard (Integrated management system), sharing of Best Practices from within & outside the company and other Continuous Improvement Plans in all plants
- Track developments in power sector and share detailed reports on a weekly basis
- Extensive interactions with OEMs
- Ensure that all plant operational parameters are within the normative and statutory standards
- Compiling, monitoring and analyzing Monthly Operation Performance Review (MOPR) on a monthly basis for all plants
Customer :
- Provide data to external agencies like CEA, APTEL, financial institutions and other statutory bodies
- Provide data related to plant performance to various internal stakeholders like BD, finance and other stakeholders
- Provide MIS support in the form of reports to different departments as and when required
People :
- Train, develop and mentor team members
- Facilitate adequate training (both on and off the job) for the subordinates
- Continuous skill upgradation for self
