JOB DETAILS:
- We are hiring for Regional Vice President, South Asia. The RVP role is responsible for overall operations for the South Asia region. The role focusses on improving operations, improving processes and ensuring high service quality for its customers while safeguarding financial results.
- The role also manages key customers stakeholders where required and ensure smooth coordination of customer's operational needs such as warehousing, material management, and distribution to deliver Company's promises to customers.
Role: Regional Vice President, South Asia
Reporting: Chief Operations & Commercial Officer, Asia
Direct Reports: Country & Cluster Head(s) in SA Region
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Regional operations planning and management:
- Development of overall supply chain and planning framework
- Collaboration with commercial teams and support them to reach the goals.
- Forecast and achieve business performance based on contribution margin & operating income.
- Develop business cases and estimate financial and employee targets to deliver performance.
Operations strategy and implementation:
- Tactical planning and resource optimization.
- Work with commercial teams to provide and gain insights on industry movements and trends.
- Devising the operations strategy based on financial and operational goals.
Vendor development and management:
- Service provider assessment for capabilities and delivery
- Review and highlight performance gaps and suggestions for sustainable supplier contracts.
- Service contract audits and monitoring of service quality.
Internal & External stakeholder management:
- Manage senior stakeholders and leadership team pivotal to regional operational activities.
- Build & maintain strong relationships across other regions and stakeholders.
- Strong relationships with suppliers for industry awareness on technology solutions, market movements etc.
- Provide advice, suggestions and recommendations on operational matters for existing and upcoming projects to ensure business growth.
Regional organizational Leadership and Direction:
- Communicate and ensure business directions for operations teams aligned with organizational objectives is consistently provided
- Review organizational designs to be aligned with business expectations
- Inspire and motive the workforce to commit to global and local goals.
Performance and Team management:
- Set smarts performance objectives aligned organization's growth strategy.
- Prioritize development, evaluate capabilities and identify performance gaps for suitable actions.
- Build capabilities and embed fulfilment of potential as a culture and strive to be the Employer of Choice.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- General Management experience at a regional leadership level in Logistics and Supply Chain Organization.
- Thought Leader with exceptional knowledge of current & emerging growth trends in the logistics business.
