POSITION: Regional Trade Marketing Manager-North

WORK LOCATION: New Delhi

REPORTS TO: DSM/RSM Functional reporting to National Trade Marketing Manager

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

RTMM position has been the planned and natural extension of Trade Marketing function created in 2008. The profile leads Portfolio & Channel Performance within the region. The incumbent will be the activation champion, and will run, design and execute programs that will deliver growth to the region at the right cost.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Achievement of volume/value targets by Month/QTR/year for total region & allied exports markets

- Drives Portfolio and Channel growth by anchoring the trade marketing calendar

- Owns the visibility agenda for all channels and driving it in the region

- Develop and execute Trade Marketing initiatives in coordination with NSDM, Activation Manager and ASM’s.

- Manage FG&A budgets at region.

- Execute display and merchandising guidelines in EVERY channel; develop display aids, and local vendors in region.

- Analyses opportunities and chinks in portfolio and channel performances at area and regional levels, and develops intervention programs to address the same.

- Energize FF through innovative and exciting incentive plans that will make them stretch for challenging goals and exploiting the market potential.

- Key Driver for launches and promotions in the region. Issues launch and post promo analysis reports that captures learnings and effectiveness.

- Pilot test key in-market initiatives, analyze results and make recommendations.

- Regional custodian of K star program in the retail channel and keep complete track of outlet wise business trends. Contribute continuous need based refinement of K star program in coordination with HO Sales Development.

- Key conduit with activation agencies on Modern Trade Activation & Sampling in the region

- Run Channel programs for Wholesale and SDL engagement

- Analysis of input vs output for historical trends to capture the right forecast for robust planning in the IBP process

- Driving Sales Contest in the region

- Analyze data to gauge effectiveness of key activities and promos through a pre-agreed control panel and use the analysis to fine tune future activities

- Demonstrate strategic leadership, customer orientation, company values, ethics and pride through exemplary behavior

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

- Region HQ based job with frequent travel to markets within region. Expected to travel for a week in a month.

- Close contacts with HO Sales Development teams, Regional Sales team and Brand Managers

- Use of Laptop and land line/mobile phone

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:

- MBA from a Leading Institute (Tier 1 & 2) Preferably 2007 or 2008 passouts

- Minimum of 3 years of experience (General trade experience is must)

- Understanding of sales systems and processes.

- Good track record

- Advance skills for MS office. Excel and PP

- Should have a blend of both sales and marketing aptitude

- Ability to analyze data, scan the trade environment and take meaningful decisions.

- Ability to handle multiple priorities.

- A good communicator. Ability to sell ideas to the regional team with strong conviction.
