I am currently looking for a candidate to take up the position for Regional Sales Manager - Tamil Nadu for Top Leading Pharma Group.
Location:- Chennai
Roles and Responsibilities
- Driving the Territory Sales Revenue Targets
- Sales & Distribution: Identifies Distributor, helps build their organization and responsible for capability building
- Supervision & implementation of on-ground marketing programmes for assigned territory(which includes trade activation) and lead sales execution across the territory (distribution, in-store availability, activation & merchandising implementation)
- Identify on-ground business issues: Monitor & audit daily business Issues & provide market/sales feedback and complete all necessary reports within the stipulated time frame
- Identify opportunities: maximizing business relationships & tapping market information by gathering competitors- info (promotions, launches, organization changes, etc.) and regularly update the sales force, teams
- Monitor & track Trade Budgets
- Advising on: realistic forecasts for each product and territory (based on historical data, market trends, competitive activity, promotional strategy and sales effort, realistic costs of operating the sales force and sales promotion programme plans
- Responsible for obtaining business results through region wise planning & execution of company strategies, effective people management and team capability building
- Target achievement through planning & execution of sales promotion activities at retailer points within the assigned territory.
- Channel Management - Develop strong working relationship with OTC distributors, manage distributors for achievement of sales priorities for the region
- Responsible for coordination with the Regional Expert Sales Manager and other key stakeholders in the business in the assigned area.
- Responsible for the planning, recruitment, direction, organization, and management of Territory Sales Incharges to accomplish specific objectives.
- Coaching and mentoring of TSI to enable them to carry out their roles & responsibilities in an effective manager
- Responsible for monitoring the performance of the team by establishing a system of reports and communications such as sales reports & activity trackers
- Timely appraisal of team and timely feedback to TSIs regarding their performance, developmental plan for personal and career growth, feedback to ZSM and Sales Head about the performance of each TSI direct report
- Talent Management within the region, finding out right talent for right role & nurture talent.
- Education Graduate/MBA
- Age Less than 40 years
- Channel Sales Experience Graduate -10+years, MBA(Full Time) - 5+ years, MBA(Tier I) - 2+ years,MBA (Tier II) - 3+ years
- Managerial Experience (Team Size: 4-8) Experience in a managerial or equivalent role for 5+ years with two geographies/ At least 1 year + as ASM experience
- Geography experience At least 3 years in the same geography (Managerial experience)
- Specialty experience Exposure to FMCG/OTC Industry required, experience of managing distributor/ stockiest ( atleast 2 yr +)
- Communication skills Good proficiency in English and local language
- Sales Channel Exposure(At least 2) GT(Chemists), Rx(Pharma stockiest), Modern Trade ( MT), Distributor (OTC/ Pharma /FMCG) - Mandatory, SS(Super stockiest), Wholesale, Generics(Gx)
