Regional Sales Manager - Food Packaging (General Trade)
About the Role:
- As the Regional Sales Manager - Food Packaging (General Trade), you'll play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and market expansion across our assigned territories: Pune, Nashik, Kolhapur, and Goa.
- You'll be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, managing a team of sales professionals, and building strong relationships with key customers within the general trade segment.

Responsibilities:
Strategic Sales Leadership:
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve ambitious regional sales targets within the General Trade segment.
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, driving revenue growth through innovative and data-driven sales approaches.
- Conduct thorough market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities, leveraging insights to refine sales strategies and tactics.
- Monitor market trends and analyze customer data to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales processes.
Sales Team Management & Development:
- Lead, motivate, and coach a team of sales professionals, fostering a high-performing and results-oriented sales culture.
- Set clear and measurable performance goals for individual team members and the overall sales team.
- Oversee the hiring, training, and development of team members, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and coaching to continuously enhance individual and team performance.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong and lasting relationships with key customers and distributors in the assigned region.
- Manage key accounts, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, loyalty, and long-term partnerships.
- Proactively identify customer needs and exceed expectations through excellent service and product solutions.
Sales & Campaign Management:
- Develop and execute impactful sales campaigns and promotional activities to drive sales growth within the assigned territories.
- Monitor campaign effectiveness and adjust strategies as needed to maximize results.
- Prepare and deliver clear and concise sales presentations, effectively communicating the value proposition of our packaging solutions.
- Oversee the sales pipeline management process, ensuring a consistent flow of leads and opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree a plus).
- At least 5 years of experience in sales within the General Trade segment, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Sales Management role, demonstrating strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- In-depth understanding of the food packaging industry and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales reporting tools.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines.
- A results-oriented and self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for exceeding expectations.
