We are currently looking for an Regional Sales Manager with the topmost Packaged Consumer Goods fortune 100 MNC in India. The position is to be based at Chennai.

Candidate Profile :
An Engineering graduate coupled with a Premier B-School MBA - IIM/ XLRI/ JBIMS/ NMIMS/ IMT/ FMS / IIFT with about 2-3 years experience in Sales and distribution management, channel sales in a Reputed FMCG/ Beverages Co. 2010 /2011/12 Batches will be preferable. The company is one of the topmost employers for diversity candidates and such profiles are welcome.
Essential Experience and Expertise :Experience of 3-5 years in channel sales, with a minimum 2-4 years as Sales Manager, preferably managing a team of executives. Prior experience of managing distributors is essential, with experience in
- Third Party Management and
- Distributor Management and Bazaar Trade
Job involves 15 – 20 days of travel outside base location.
Job Profile:
1) Developing and effectively implementing an Area Sales Strategy through his team of Specialists & Distributors
2) Maintaining relationship with Key Area employees of customer partners
3) Ensuring demand generation through his Area Activation Specialist
4) Ensuring effective service to all channel partners and
5) Developing the capability of team of Specialists reporting to him
- Achieve Targets for Sales, Reach & Profitability
- Develop & Effectively implement the Area Sales Strategy
- Maintain relationship with key customers and influencers
- Track competition and take corrective actions
- Train and coach the Specialists
- Ensure Distributors achieve their business goals profitably
