Regional Sales Manager - Commodity Plastics

Business Development:

- Identify, target, and acquire new general trade customers and distributors in the Region.

- Lead the execution and implementation of sales activities for a range of new products, encompassing value selling, product promotion, key account management, product testing, technical issue resolution, price negotiation, and demand forecasting.

- Identify potential new market opportunities for these products by closely engaging with prospective customers.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.

Sales Strategy and Planning:

- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and objectives.

- Create and manage sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and sales materials to support sales efforts.

- Develop Sales Strategies.

- Generate sales to maximize profitability of the company.

Team Management:

- Lead and mentor a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.

- Foster a high-performance culture within the sales team, ensuring targets are met and exceeded.

Relationship Management:

- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, retailers, and other partners.

- Negotiate agreements and contracts with distributors and clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms.

- Manage Sales Operations and clients.

- Cultivate robust and lasting partnerships with newly acquired key accounts, demonstrating the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.

Market Expansion:

- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities within the region.

- Develop and execute market expansion plans, including product launches and distribution channel development.

Sales Analysis and Reporting:

- Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to make data-driven decisions.

- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, summarizing sales performance, market insights, and future strategies.

Compliance and Documentation:

- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.

- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, contracts, and customer interactions.

Qualification And Experience:

1. Over seven years of experience in customer-facing roles within B2B segments of petrochemicals and polymers. Background in PP and PE sales is required (sourcing of 3rd party material).

2. Strong knowledge/experience in plastic engineering / plastics in trading.

3. Having a experience in dealing with distributors/suppliers and purchasing is an added advantage.

4. Extensive network of contacts within the related industries

5. Proficient in sales, market analysis, communication, negotiation, and presentation

6. High level of technical knowledge in industrial machinery, latest technologies, and best practices

7. Result-oriented self-starter with a strong track record

8. Able to work independently and adhere to short and tight deadlines.
