Job Description : Regional Sales Manager Mumbai will handle one of the biggest markets for the client in India. He/She will be responsible for the commercials within the region and own the commercial P&L/ Budget. The candidate will also be responsible for leading the sales team in the region and drive business objectives and growth.
Client Details:
The client is one of the biggest names in the Freight Forwarding Industry. Their product offerings include Ocean Freight, Air Freight and Custom Clearance. They are highly focused on developing the Indian market as one of their strongest portfolios and have been very active in investing into the country to grow their business.
Job Description:
- The candidate will be responsible for the commercial P&L of the entire Mumbai region
- The candidate will be part of the field sales team which is responsible for handling SME clients for exports and imports through air and ocean and custom brokerage
- The candidate will be responsible for generating new business by on-boarding new clients, as well as increasing the wallet size from the existing accounts
- He/she will be responsible for maintaining and optimising gross profitability and sustaining volumes
- The person would have three territory managers as direct reports and would be managing a team of around 10 sales professionals
- The candidate will functionally report into the National Sales Head and administratively into the Regional head
- The candidate will be responsible for cross team liaison with the other commercial verticals of the client
Profile
- An Ideal Candidate will have at least 12 years of experience within the Freight Forwarding industry with at least 5 years of experience in a team management role
- The candidate must have strong business acumen and must show aggression in driving local business
- The candidate must be well versed with the Mumbai Market
- The ideal candidate should have handled similar volumes/turnover
