Driving Operation Excellence :
- Lead operational excellence initiative - across productivity, quality, safety and cost effectiveness
- Conceive, identify, detail and lead implementation of projects driving the above leveraging ops leadership team and demonstrate key outcomes (ops metrics, P&L savings, customer quality improvement etc.)
- Bring deep manufacturing expertise from allied industry, knowledge of best practices and operations management tools (incl. but not limited to Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Automation, OEE improvement)
- EBITDA Improvement - making lowest cost manufacturer
- Drive cost optimization program - establish benchmarks, build bridge to best in class and conceive projects to reach aspiration
- Drive waves of improvement projects (leveraging external consultants where needed); ensure budgeting and actual savings accruals in P&L
Cross functional leadership and tracking :
- Build cross functional teams leveraging plant teams, central functions to deliver on daily basis
- Develop clear workplans, identify analyses and allocate deliverables across teams
- Build Daily Management Systems and Short Interval Management/Controls at Corporate and Plant Level.
Governance and leadership engagement :
- Set up / Own and execute clear governance cadence for ops excellence projects - comprising working sessions, steering committee reviews along with associated MIS. Automate MIS where possible.
- Lead conversations on operations excellence with CEO, board members on regular basis (needs to build trust based leaderships with CXOs and board members)
Best Practice Sharing, Standardization :
- Engage with external experts / advisors to identify new levers for optimizing processes (e.g. automation);
- Build strong external network for ready access to best practices
- Standardize successful pilot projects and execute at scale across machines and plants
- Synthesize key learnings to input into training and capability building agenda of operations teams
