Job Description:
- As the Regional Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing logistics operations within the Mumbai and Ahmedabad regions.
- Your role will involve managing day-to-day order processing, stock replenishment, vehicle planning, and ensuring compliance with cold storage requirements.
- You will work closely with central planning teams, monitor key performance metrics, and support the sales team with actionable insights derived from data analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Order Management & Stock Replenishment:
- Oversee day-to-day order management and stock replenishment planning for all CFA (Customer Fulfillment Areas) within the region.
- Implement pull-based inventory norms to ensure timely and accurate stock replenishment.
- Finalize stock movement plans and coordinate with central planning teams and plants, ensuring adherence to stipulated time frames.
Vehicle Planning & Management:
- Plan vehicle requirements for both peak and off-peak seasons to optimize logistics operations.
- Monitor vehicle space utilization to achieve and maintain a 90% capacity utilization rate.
- Manage running KM of vehicles to ensure efficient operation and cost control.
Cold Room Management:
- Monitor cold room temperatures to ensure compliance with established temperature norms and standards.
- Implement and maintain protocols to ensure the integrity of cold storage environments.
Performance Review & Service Levels:
- Review and analyze the monthly service levels of all CFAs across various parameters, including Order to Execution Turnaround Time (TAT), Inventory Accuracy, Warehouse Management, and Responsiveness.
- Develop and implement strategies to address any performance gaps and improve service levels.
Data Analysis & Forecast Support:
- Interpret trends and analyze forecast data to provide meaningful support to the sales team.
- Utilize data insights to enhance decision-making and optimize logistics operations.
Stock Management:
- Track and manage slow-moving and obsolete stock to minimize inventory holding costs and reduce waste.
- Develop and implement strategies for inventory turnover and clearance.
Vendor Management:
- Oversee relationships with logistics vendors and service providers, ensuring they meet performance standards and contractual obligations.
- Negotiate terms and manage vendor performance to achieve cost-effective and high-quality service.
Planning & SAP Utilization:
- Utilize SAP and other planning tools to streamline logistics processes, track performance, and manage inventory.
- Ensure accurate data entry and reporting within SAP to support logistics and supply chain operations.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
A Master's degree or relevant certification (e. , CSCP, CLTD) is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, with a proven track record of managing logistics operations and performance in multiple locations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP and other logistics management software.
- Strong understanding of cold storage management and vehicle planning.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
- Organizational Skills: Proven organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple aspects of logistics operations efficiently.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues and implement practical solutions to improve logistics performance and service levels
