Position Overview :
As the Regional Head for the Wealth Channel within a prominent Life Insurance Organization, you will be responsible for leading and driving the strategic growth of the Wealth Channel business across a designated region. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategies to enhance the distribution of wealth-related insurance products, build strong relationships with key partners, achieve sales targets, and also lead the sourcing and onboarding of mutual fund distributors, partners, and ULIP selling competition agents. Your role will involve leading a team of sales professionals, collaborating with cross-functional departments, and contributing to the overall growth of the organization.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Leadership :
- Develop and execute the regional business strategy for the Wealth Channel, aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
- Identify market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape to tailor strategies that drive growth and maintain a competitive edge.
Team Management :
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team of sales and distribution professionals.
- Set clear performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Foster a collaborative and motivated team culture that encourages innovation and achievement.
Sales and Business Development :
- Drive the achievement of regional sales targets and revenue goals for wealth-related insurance products.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key distribution partners, financial advisors, brokers, and other stakeholders.
- Identify new business opportunities and channels for growth, and proactively pursue partnerships to expand market reach.
Sourcing and Onboarding :
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard mutual fund distributors, partners, and ULIP selling competition agents to strengthen distribution networks.
- Develop comprehensive onboarding processes and training programs to ensure the success of newly onboarded partners.
Product Knowledge and Expertise :
- Gain an in-depth understanding of the organization's wealth-related insurance products and services.
- Educate the sales team and partners on product features, benefits, and positioning to effectively communicate value propositions to clients.
Market Intelligence :
- Monitor market trends, customer preferences, and regulatory changes that impact the wealth insurance segment.
- Provide insights and recommendations to refine product offerings and marketing strategies based on market dynamics.
Cross-Functional Collaboration :
- Collaborate closely with marketing, product development, underwriting, and other departments to ensure seamless execution of business initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of marketing campaigns, sales tools, and training programs to support the Wealth Channel's success.
Performance Analysis and Reporting :
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, regional trends, and key performance indicators.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management outlining achievements, challenges, and future strategies.
Qualifications and Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven track record of success in sales and distribution roles within the life insurance or financial services industry.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
- In-depth knowledge of wealth-related insurance products, financial markets, and investment strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and make data-driven decisions.
- Strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and adaptability to evolving market conditions.
- Proficiency in using technology and sales management tools.
- Relevant industry certifications and licenses as required.
- Willingness to travel within the designated region as needed
