Role: Regional Head - SCM

Reports To: Chief/Head of Supply Chain India

Role Requirements

A East India Market experience is a must.

Based location: CCU=Kolkata

Qualification:

MBA from tier1/tier 2 institute

Experience:

- 10-14 Years of experience in managing logistics operations. Expert in managing large warehouse/shipping operation, vendor development, cost management.

- Exposure in logistics KPIs/CRS and digitization in logistics space.

- Exposure in planning (demand & production planning).

- Proficient in Microsoft tools and software (e.g., Excel, SAP).

Purpose of the role:

Responsible for converting demand plans into production plans, ensuring weekly adherence to production schedules, and driving effective Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) for CSD products within the designated region.

Key Deliverables:

Regional SCM Operations:

- Oversee end-to-end Supply Chain Management operations within the region, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and standards.

- Collaborate with plant managers, logistics teams, and other stakeholders to optimize regional supply chain processes.

Part of Regional Leadership Team:

- Actively participate in the Regional Leadership team, providing strategic insights and aligning supply chain strategies with overall regional objectives.

- Collaborate with other functional leaders to drive cross-functional initiatives.

Seasonal Planning/Infrastructure:

- Develop and implement seasonal planning strategies to address fluctuations in demand.

- Assess and enhance regional infrastructure at plants and depots to support supply chain efficiency.

Product Availability:

- Ensure consistent product availability at the regional level through effective production planning, inventory management, and distribution strategies.

- Collaborate with production teams to address any production challenges and minimize stockouts.

Fair Share Allocation:

- Work closely with national and other regional teams to establish fair share allocation for regional production.

- Balance production capacities to meet demand and optimize overall supply chain performance.

S&OP and Demand Plan Accuracy:

- Establish and lead the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process for the region.

- Drive accuracy in demand planning through collaboration with sales, marketing, and production teams.

Push Vs Pull Replenishment:

- Analyzed demand patterns and implement push vs. pull replenishment strategies to optimize inventory levels and minimized lead times.

- Continuously evaluate and adjust replenishment strategies based on market dynamics.

Infrastructure at Plant/Depots:

- Manage and enhance infrastructure at regional plants and depots to support operational efficiency.

- Collaborate with relevant teams to address any infrastructure-related challenges.

Cost Management:

- Implement cost management strategies for the entire region, including transportation, warehousing, and production costs.

- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
