Position Overview:
- The Regional Head of Service Operations will be responsible for overseeing the operational efficiency and effectiveness of DMart Ready's service operations within a specified region.
- This role entails managing multiple fulfilment centres, small format retail outlets, and last mile delivery services, while ensuring optimal performance across all channels.
- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing large teams comprising skilled and semi-skilled workers and will be accountable for the region's business growth.
- The candidate should possess a growth mindset and a can-do attitude, and should be capable of engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Management:
- Oversee daily operations of fulfilment centres, retail outlets, and last mile delivery services within the region.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
2. Team Leadership:
- Recruit, retain, manage, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of skilled and semi-skilled workers.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance team capabilities.
3. Financial Management:
- Monitor and manage the region's P&L to ensure financial targets are met.
- Develop and execute cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality.
- Prepare and present regular financial reports to senior management.
4. Customer Satisfaction:
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by maintaining service quality and addressing customer concerns promptly.
- Implement feedback mechanisms to continuously improve customer experience.
5. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, including corporate business functions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders such as transportation providers, manpower providers, and local regulatory authorities.
- Represent the company in meetings and negotiations with external partners
6. Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities for growth and expansion within the region.
- Collaborate with other regional heads and senior management to drive company-wide initiatives.
7. Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all operations comply with health and safety regulations.
- Implement and monitor safety protocols to protect employees and customers.
