The role holder is responsible for providing guidance and SME support to all business / functions within their country with regards to the understanding, articulation and practical implementation of bank records retention policies. They will support appointed business / function records coordinators and in-country key senior stakeholders (e.g. Country COO, CAO, CCO, business COO etc) to ensure they effectively control the risks and costs involved in ensuring records are managed in accordance with global policies and all local requirements.
The role plays an active part in driving operational efficiencies by identifying synergies across business lines and capitalising on opportunities in standardize records processes and procedures
- Policy Compliance: demonstrate compliance to legal and regulatory requirements in managing business records to protect operational capability and global reputation
- Guidance and Support Demands: guidelines, procedures and recommended solutions are needed to be continually developed and enhanced to provide a framework on which business / function activity can be hung
- Co-ordination: building good relationships internally and externally, communicate clearly and persuasively, appreciate diversity and share knowledge both within organization and with external vendors with a good command of interpersonal skills
- Problem Solving: the job holder should think differently and analytically based on banking standards and own experience, and then find alternative solutions
- Project Management: achieve project targets with time pressure.
With the established Group Records Management Standards, Policy and Retention Framework, the jobholder has the challenging task of galvanizing in-country business / function support and demonstrating compliance while operating in an environment of tightening budget. To achieve visible success encouraging, driving operational efficiencies and delivering quality records management services, the jobholder has to work with all key stakeholders and appointed records coordinators - who will have different views, needs and priorities. The jobholder is expected to lead a monthly working group comprising of global business, global function and HOST function representatives.
