Regional Credit Manager- BFSI

JOB DESCRIPTION :

1. JOB PURPOSE : Responsible for Credit Decisioning for SME proposals (Unsecured Business loan) and ensuring quality of portfolio at Regional level.

2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :

- Ensure the quality of portfolio is maintained at Regional level

- Ensure there is no Non-Starter in the portfolio at Regional level

- Ensure monthly governance review of Regional portfolio along with Senior Management

- Ensure Credit decisioning is done in line with defined credit policy and also ensure that appropriate judgment is done on the cases basis merits

- Ensure compliance with all SOPs at the Regional level

- Ensure coordination with other stakeholders ; Business, Credit, Ops, RCU etc.

- Ensure team is trained on credit policy and applying appropriate checks on the proposals

- Ensure team delivers in line with the defined productivity and TAT

- Ensure team is motivated and overall attrition is kept at minimum.

- Drive new initiatives and project for developing quality business

- Regularly visiting all the locations in the portfolio

- Ensure implementation of Early warning Mechanism at the regional level

- Ensure visiting few Customers on Sample basis in the portfolio

- Ensure the quality of Credit approval note and the Credit approval mails for the Region

- Ensure all MIS submission for the region is done on timely basis with 100% accuracy

- Drive the new project initiatives for SME Business

- Drive other products for SME finance apart from unsecured business loans at Regional level

- To be updated on the development in the industries and the locations. To be regularly engaged with other financiers in the market

3. SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE :

Educational Qualifications : CA/Post-graduate in Finance

Functional Skills : Handled Leadership role, Team player, Self Driven, Good communication and Convincing skills, Attention to Detail, Critical Thinking, Expert knowledge of Risk Management & Credit, Process Oriented, Time Management

Relevant & total years of Experience : 10 to 14 years in an underwriting team of a top tier bank/ NBFC/FinTechs in India.
