Regional Commercial Manager (Only FMCG Candidates)
Theme of the Role
- Driving Value creation and enabling and supporting sustainable and profitable growth, through personal and organizational role in Commercial areas across the organisation, with a judicious mix of service and control
Direct and Exclusive Responsibility -
- Deliver specific savings - amounts and Basis points of Operating Margin
- Develop culture and systems that ensure ongoing and sustained savings
- Develop compliance & internal control / risk assessment environment
To anchor Sales Commercial and General Commercial, in the following areas
Sales Commercial
- To act as the Custodian of commercial controls and financial policies and SOPs relating to sales- Key ones being Revenue recognition, cut off policies, SOPs on CSA operations, Risk management.
- To monitor compliance & updating of Credit policy.
- To be responsible for commercials in CSA operations and Distributor management.
- To support the Modern Trade Business- facilitate structuring of TOTs, negotiations.
- Developing process & internal control system for CNF & Distributor
- CNF & Distributor Audit & adherence to compliance as per Company Policy
Trade Scheme
- To ensure that the Scheme spends are in line with the budgets & sanctions
- To ensure effectiveness of scheme Spends
General deliverables across Commercial Streams
- To leverage IT to automate manual processes & improve automated ones
- To drive Cost management initiatives/culture across the Company
- To identify Cost saving opportunities and drive efficiencies in Commercial space.
- To Monitor Monthly/quarterly budgets
- To Drive commercial process improvement to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
- To benchmark best practices internally and externally
- To replicate those practices for cutting edge systems & processes.
- To improve Processes continuously to eliminate non value adding activities.
- Expertise in Core Finance Areas, especially commercial ones
- Business Orientation & Perspective
- Understanding of business value chain, key Drivers of value
- Linking Value Drivers to specific agenda in Commercial Areas
- Ability to deploy Finance Functional Expertise for Business benefits
- Leadership, especially Ability to influence non-reporting relationships
