Objective: - This is a key leadership role which is pivotal in driving growth of the business. The role has the responsibility of Marketing, Sales, Strategy development & execution using cutting edge technology and ideas, building & nurturing channel partner relationships, delivering profit margins by ensuring cost controls, understanding consumer behaviour and influencing customer experience and develop the sales systems and processes. Essence of the Role: - The incumbent will be responsible for developing and executing all key growth sales strategies and action plans required to increase sales expand market share & achieve financial targets. - This position will have regional level responsibility for growing sales in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment. - Develop a robust pipeline of talent from within to grow into future senior leaders. Identify learning and development need of the team members in sync with HR. -The position will be a key part of the top leadership team which will report into the CEO and work closely with the Board of Directors. Operational: - Develop strategy, tactics, sales plans, targets and budgets - Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand the company's distribution base. - Build the channel distribution set up and identify alternate channel partners. - Developing customer specific strategies and optimizing commercial terms. - Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales targets for the region. - Developing field sales action plans. - Maintain sales volume, and product mix, by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors - Complete sales operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results. - Motivate and manage national sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees - Review the progress of team and take necessary course corrections to achieve desired results. Focus on driving building blocks and be clear on required inputs to achieve the output. - Understand category-specific landscapes and trends, reporting on the forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts and channels Essentials: - A Management Graduate with Leadership & People Management skills. - Should be from the consumer industry with a minimum of 15+ years of work experience of which at least 5 years in a National Sales or large Regional Sales role leading a large team in a fast & competitive environment. - Proven sales experience, consistently meeting or exceeding targets. - Proven ability to develop & implement sales processes, and drive them from plan to close. - Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization. - Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
