About the role :
- Regional Business Manager (RBM) is responsible for complete school business of their respective states.
- They will lead the effort to acquire and retain schools by reaching out to schools, building relationships with school management, servicing them and ensuring program implementation in the schools with the help of a team.
- The RBM will be responsible for hiring, training, leading and managing 8-12 team members and business partners.
- The RBM will lead from the front and support the business team and the business partners to aggressively increase the revenue by providing strategic input, training, other necessary support for business. The RBM will spend 70% of his/ her time on the field.
Goals :
- Manage a portfolio of 200 schools in the region with focus on program implementation, service, relationship and business growth.
- Grow the business by upgrades, reference, channel activation and new school acquisition to 400-500 schools
- Institute and refine systems, processes and digital initiatives that drive scalability of XAMCHECK
Responsibilities :
Business Development :
- School acquisition: Sign up of new schools
- School Retention and upgrade: Retain all schools and upgrade the value of business within the portfolio.
- Reference generation: Generate references of new schools from the existing portfolio of schools based on service and satisfaction
Collection : Collection of money due from schools on time.
Competitive knowledge : Keeping an eye on the market landscape and track competitive action. Keep the organization prepared/ alerted in terms of key changes in the market.
School relationship :
- Build and nurture relationship with the designated schools within the region . Maintaining relationship with key school stakeholders personally.
Program implementation :
Plan and coordinate internally with operations, product specialists and product team to ensure complete and efficient implementation at the School on a day to day basis.
Service satisfaction :
Customer Satisfaction : Drive customer satisfaction for the managed schools by ensuring on time high quality service and material delivery.
Proactive problem solving : Be transparent in sharing the feedback of the Schools and proactively resolve issues or queries of our clients in a timely manner.
- Escalate all issues concerning program implementation to the respective people within the organization and ensure resolution of the customer issues.
- Feedback synthesis: Receiving feedback from customers regularly and prepare for the next steps
Team Leadership :
Recruitment : Recruitment of business team members and business partners
Training : Training/ coaching of the team members
Planning and Monitoring : Planning and monitoring the priorities of the business team members and ensuring the calendar is followed.
Reporting and Documentation :
Documentation : Complete all documentation regarding school sign up, collect advance amount as per company policy and engage the schools as per the need.
Reporting : Keep all reporting formats, CRM, documentation, etc updated on day-to-day basis.
It's a high energy job which requires the Regional Business Manager to spend 80% of his/ her time in the field.
Relevant Experience :
Any sales and relationship management experience with at least 3 years in a B2B/ SME environment. At least 4 years of team management experience.
